Give your child the opportunity to create, explore, and imagine in a welcoming, hands-on art studio designed just for kids!

Our FREE Monthly Art Day is open to children ages 2–12 and is the perfect way to discover everything The Spark Arts Collective has to offer. Young artists can drop in anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to experiment with a variety of art materials, create unique projects, and enjoy a fun, screen-free creative experience.

Children will paint, build, design, and invent while developing confidence, fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-expression. Our friendly instructors encourage creativity over perfection, allowing every child to create at their own pace and take home a masterpiece they're proud of.

Whether your child is a budding Picasso or simply loves getting creative, Free Monthly Art Day is a wonderful opportunity to spark curiosity, make new friends, and experience the joy of making art in an inspiring studio environment.

Embers Club - Palatine

Ages: 4 - 10

Children will enjoy a fun, safe, and engaging Saturday Night Art Studio experience while parents take the evening off. During this three-hour program, children will participate in age-appropriate art projects, creative activities, games, and supervised free play in a welcoming studio environment. All activities are designed to encourage creativity, social interaction, and self-expression while providing a relaxed and enjoyable evening for participants. Children will be supervised by qualified staff who are background-checked and CPR/First Aid certified, ensuring a safe and positive experience from drop-off to pick-up. Snacks will not be provided, but you are welcome to bring yours. All art materials are included. This program is ideal for children who love to create, explore, and have fun with friends in a creative setting.

Wonder Makers - Palatine

Toddlers are naturally curious and eager to experiment. This class introduces simple STEAM concepts through hands-on play, building, and sensory activities. Children will sort, stack, mix, and explore basic problem-solving while developing language and social skills. Activities are designed to encourage independence, imagination, and early critical thinking in a fun, structured environment.

STEAM Sprouts - Palatine

Ages: 4 - 6

Children begin asking “why” and “how,” making this the perfect time to introduce basic science, simple engineering, and creative design. Kids will build structures, explore beginner experiments, and use art to express ideas. They’ll learn to make predictions, test ideas, and work collaboratively—developing confidence and foundational STEAM thinking.

Innovation Crew - Palatine

Ages: 7 - 9

Children at this age can think more logically and work through challenges with greater independence. This class emphasizes engineering design, experimentation, and teamwork. Kids will create, test, and refine projects while learning how different STEAM concepts connect. They’ll be encouraged to think like inventors—asking questions, solving problems, and explaining their ideas.

Next Gen Creators - Palatine

Ages: 10 - 12

Older students are ready for deeper exploration and more complex challenges. This class focuses on advanced problem-solving, critical thinking, and real-world applications of STEAM. Students will design and build projects, explore technology and engineering concepts, and work collaboratively to tackle challenges. Emphasis is placed on creativity, leadership, and preparing them for future academic success in STEM fields. Children at this age will also be able to create in our Chomp Shop area.
